At Callies we cater for the strange and eccentrics with not one but two play groups. One Afrikaans and one English drama group.
If the words “Lights, camera, action” intrigues you, come join our drama groups while they are setting the stages on fire! With three drama groups, various shows locally and participation in various competitions there will be more than enough time to work on those Oscar dreams!
For our English actors, Callie’s stage is waiting for you. Our English drama group turns the heat up on stage every year and takes part in the on-stage battle for prizes at the local Festival of Arts and thr RACA-Eistedford.
The English drama group received the following awards during 2018:
At the Festival of Arts they received a Silver certificate
At RACA (Randfontein eisteddfod) they received a Gold certificate.
The Afrikaans drama group received the following awards during 2018:
During the ATKV Tienertoneel competition, the group receives 4 certificates

During the Carletonville Arts Festival, they receive gold as the Best Theater for 2018.
